For the mashup we took the Fonkdelando Remix from DJ Averèz, who put the same pumping rhythm into Samir’s theme as Schudden making it the perfect fit. Enjoy the mashup from DJ Mike On Tour and DJ House Container.

The result is a nice mashup featuring the Acapella from Cassius and the Hardwell Dub Mix from Anna Grace’s Let the feelings go. All mixed together it ahs the new name:

With the last big Kesha Mashup attack I already created three mashups. But I still had a number of mashup candidates on my list. I was first going for Amelie from Butch but that didn’t add to Tik tok what I was looking for. With Dirty freakz (Original Mix) I had a very fat bass at my disposal. So I’ve sliced a number of samples from the Kesha acapella to play around and the result is another Kesha mashup: Dirty tik tok freakz.

You can wait till someone else makes such a remix, or just start working on some mashups of your own. Yes I’m talking about multiple mashups this time. I have finished three mashups at the moment but have still some ingredients on my list left that I would like to use in combination with the Tik tok acapella.

However, there is a little trick to these mashups. They don’t use the actual Kesha – Tik tok acapella since that isn’t available, yet. I hope it will become available in the near future since I would love to re-make these mashups with the real acapella.

I used the following tracks and remixes for the mashups. Everything is made with Ableton Live. I actively used side chain compression for these mashups because: the acapella was not mastered like todays dance productions; to make the acapella swing work with the pumping beats of Chucky and Sidney Samson.

Before starting right away I first searched if there were already mashups available on the internet. Lucky for me I didn’t find any mashup. So I started to search for a nice track to mashup with Sugar and when I did a short test with R.I.O. I knew I had a hit. While I was creating the mashup in Ableton I was was amazed by the perfect fit of both tracks. I didn’t have to use any compression or eq-ing, just sample them straight on together with the right volume and we’re done.

I only had to get creative on the breakbeat of R.I.O. at around 2:42 and added a simple delay in there to smooth a transition in the Sugar acapella. And the result is a great summer hit mashup.

After listening some mashups on Youtube I’ve decided to stick with the plan and make my own mashup version. So here is the DJ House Container Mashup of Benny Benassi VS. Black Eyed Peas, Boom boom pow satisfaction!

Today I did a quick test of the idea on my new Traktor Scratch Pro setup and decided to work it out directly in Ableton Live. This has resulted in: Get your freak on 75 Brazil Street.

I had Real 2 Real already warped and set to go because of Hit Spotting Mix 12. I completely have forgotten where the idea of this mashup came from. I could have dreamed about it, got inspired by others or maybe just the coincident of these two tracks being played after each other somewhere. Wherever the inspiration might have come from is unknown, the result is known: Move it aqualight!

Unfortunately there was no instrumental version available of Freestyler. So I had to be creative and put in some loops to create space for the Dom, lomp & famous acapella samples. After two evenings of work is here the result: Dom, lomp & famous freestyler.
