iDaft is a cool website, containing a sampler loaded with the vocal samples from Daft Punk.

Last Saturday I treaded myself on a nice 80′s & 90′s party in the Central Studio’s in Utrecht with Boney M. and Master Mixer Ben Liebrand. Lucky for me it seemed that a third DJ didn’t show up forcing the organization to let Ben spin 3 hours instead of 1,5.

The Allen & Heath Xone:4D can easily be extended with a touch screen MIDI Display. This gives even more ease of access to Ableton Live clip slots.

As a DJ you sometimes wait for a major release of new tracks or dj gear. Today OverSoft, as one of the very first, got his Xone 4D. All reasons to head over to him and join the celebration of this wonderful new peace of equipment.

MusicMap is a web application that allows you to browse though music with an intiuitive graphical user interface.

By coincidence I stumbled on this movie at YouTube about Timbap. Timbap is a nice evolution of time coded vinyl. It makes sure that a DJ never needs to grab a keyboard, mouse or even a monitor when DJ-ing with a digital vinyl system.

On Thursday 18 of September I will compete in the Pioneer DJ/MC Contest at the Hollywood Music Hall in Rotterdam. Somewhere between 22:30 and 03:00 I will play a set of 20 minutes. I hope to post the results back here as soon as possible.

I’m back from my vacation in Sunny Portugal and loaded with fresh energy and inspiration. During my stay in Albufeira I had the Lucky chance to see both DJ Tiësto and David Guetta performing live. They played both on a sponsored event from a Portuguese mobile network operator.
